Project Overview
Situated within one of Dubai's new developments — a landmark destination combining ultra-luxury residences, a five-star hospitality atrium, and exclusive corporate suites — this ambitious lighting commission demanded fixtures capable of commanding spaces of extraordinary scale while delivering the refined opulence synonymous with the city's architectural identity. The project spans four distinct zones: a soaring 10-meter grand atrium lobby adorned with marble colonnades and polished reflective flooring, a fine-dining restaurant, a corporate presentation suite, and a private residential penthouse entry gallery. Each space required a bespoke lighting centerpiece capable of defining its unique character while contributing to a cohesive narrative of contemporary Arabian luxury.
The Client
Our client, a prominent Dubai-based development group whose portfolio includes some of the city's most iconic waterfront and downtown addresses. With a design philosophy rooted in pushing boundaries — fusing classical Middle Eastern hospitality aesthetics with avant-garde global design — the group sought a lighting partner who could translate their ambitious vision into luminous reality. The Challenge
The project presented four distinct architectural challenges within a single commission. The grand atrium — a double-height space framed by travertine-clad columns, wrought-iron balcony railings, and polished marble floors — required chandeliers dramatic enough to fill 10 meters of vertical volume while maintaining visual warmth and approachability. The fine-dining restaurant, with its intimate seating arrangements and floral centerpieces, demanded a fixture that could foster romance without overwhelming the tablescape. The corporate presentation suite, clad in dark wood paneling, called for a bold sculptural statement piece to energize the space with color and movement. Finally, the penthouse entry gallery — a light-filled space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Dubai skyline — needed a grand yet elegant fixture that could anchor the room without competing with the panoramic views.
Our Solution
For the grand atrium, we engineered a pair of Multi-Tier Gold Fan Crystal Chandeliers — each spanning over 3 meters in diameter and weighing nearly 500 kilograms. These masterpieces feature four graduated tiers of hand-faceted K9 crystals arranged in a sweeping fan silhouette, with internal warm-white LED arrays (3000K) casting a rich golden amber radiance that complements the surrounding cream marble and burgundy wall paneling. The gold-toned metal framework — visible at tier edges and crown caps — was finished with a proprietary nano-ceramic coating engineered to withstand Dubai's intense heat and fine desert dust.
For the fine-dining restaurant, we created the Feather Bloom Chandelier: a sculptural radial burst of elongated crystal strands suspended from a brushed-gold central hub, evoking the soft silhouette of a desert bloom in moonlight. Each frosted crystal tip diffuses light gently, bathing the dining area in an intimate, flattering glow while complementing the restaurant's floral centerpieces and warm interior palette.
For the corporate suite, we installed the Serpent Ribbon — an emerald-green kinetic ribbon chandelier that twists through space in an abstract infinity loop. Dense emerald-tinted glass tubes within the ribbon structure are backlit by concealed warm-white LEDs, creating a mesmerizing interplay of color, light, and motion against the suite's dark wood paneling — a true conversation piece that energizes high-stakes presentations and investor meetings.
For the penthouse entry, we selected the Concentric Rings Chandelier: three floating rings in matte-black powder-coated metal, each housing a curtain of vertical clear crystal rods that catch and refract the abundant natural light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
